Guest Speakers

Police Report

Officer Lang?/Officer Smith – Crime states were presented. Statistically, our area is at or below normal levels for the year in comparison with other neighborhoods. Car accessories are the most sought after products! Contacts: germain.love@cincinnati-oh.gov, Douglas.wiesman@cincinnati-oh.gov

Recreation Department Report

Katie Lear – Six Thanksgiving baskets were donated by KOC…they were distributed by LeBlond to six families of the Rec Center. There is a Christmas/Holiday event coming up on December 19 from 6-8PM. Presented the Fall/Winter program guide – check it for all the events and classes! Call the Rec center for latest events and more info @ 513- 281-3209. Contact: laura.benjamin@cincinnati-oh.gov

Secretary’s Report

Nick Motz - presented the November 2008 meeting minutes. Motioned, seconded, filed. PO Box will be changing effective immediately to PO Box 26182, Cincinnati, Oh 45226 (actually our old PO Box #). Contact: nick@wilkerdesign.com

Treasurer’s Report

Jackie Weist – Presented October and November’s Treasurer’s report. Motioned, seconded, filed. Contact: jweist@fuse.net

Old Business

Transportation Study/Bus Stops – Progressing slowly, as usual.

Collins Steps – No news from Gerry Burns, ball is in his court.

East End Health CenterExecutive Board recommends donating a one-time donation of $1000 to clinic in honor of Ian Scott’s dedicated work with the center. A motion was made to make the donation, seconded and passed in favor.

Housing Fund – Still in law.

New Business

Budget – 2009 Proposed Budget was presented. Executive Board will meet next week to tweak budget, The final budget will be presented In January 2009.

NSP Funds Spending Suggestions – Patrice Allen presented. Went around the neighborhood for input on spending. Finally spoke to 30-40 people. Input: Newsletter ($0.50 per copy per mailing and a free volunteer for layout/design/upkeep, and a website/blog for free, $1000 annual), dumpster clean up sessions (from free by Keep Cincinnati Beautiful for yard waste only to $450 for non-yard waste, etc. $1000 annually for 2 cleanups), citizen’s patrol beat, more trash cans, boulevard trees thru Urban Forestry Program ($4-5000 annually for the concrete cutting to place the trees). Costs for programs is in parenthesis. Motion was made to delay 2009 vote until January, 2009, seconded, passed 7 in favor, 0 opposed.

Elections – all were elected! Motion was made to elect slate as presented, seconded, passed 7 in favor, 0 opposed!
